A bright & welcoming entrance

The renovation focused on creating a light-filled, welcoming atmosphere, starting with a widened internal staircase that leads into a brand-new foyer space. A skylight was added above to flood the entryway with natural light, instantly lifting the feel of the home and providing a warm, inviting first impression.

A transformed family bathroom

Clever spatial planning allowed for the inclusion of a 3-sided freestanding bath, a sleek frameless glass shower and a vessel basin on a custom-built vanity. A wall-hung toilet was chosen to maximise floor space and enhance the clean, streamlined aesthetic. Floor-to-ceiling tiling in a soft, neutral palette adds a sense of continuity and luxury, while reflective surfaces and smart lighting help the room feel open and inviting.

The primary ensuite was designed to complement the family bathroom through the use of matching materials and finishes, creating a cohesive look throughout the home. While it forgoes the bath in this compact layout, it retains all the elegance with a sleek frameless glass shower, custom vanity with a vessel basin, and a wall-hung toilet.

To maximise space and add extra functionality, we excavated beneath the existing home to create a fully self-contained accommodation level, ideal for guests, extended family or even future rental potential. The result is a beautifully finished open-plan studio featuring a comfortable bedroom, cosy living area and a well-equipped kitchenette. A separate bathroom and laundry add to the convenience, ensuring the space functions as a private, independent retreat. Outside, the studio opens onto a sunny patio area, partially sheltered by the deck above, offering a peaceful outdoor space to relax and unwind. How to add a new self contained unit

1. A digger was used to excavate under the existing home to add self-contained accommodation for the owners' adult child.

2. The lovely open plan studio has a bedroom, living area and kitchenette.

3. There is also a bathroom and a laundry hidden tidily away behind cupboard doors.

A modern outdoor refresh including timber cladding and a new roof!

This renovation project delivered a fresh, modern look and improved functionality across key areas of the home. We installed new timber cladding, giving the exterior a warm, contemporary finish that enhances street appeal while improving weather resistance. New aluminium joinery was also fitted throughout, offering durability, improved insulation and a clean, cohesive aesthetic.

A full re-roof was completed to tie in with the updated exterior,
ensuring the home is well protected from the elements for years to come.
The existing deck was significantly extended, creating a generous outdoor
