This iconic Remuera villa, one of the legendary 'seven sisters' built for the original landowner's daughters, had been a long-term rental before the owners made the decision to prepare it for sale.
Our team managed the entire project, balancing modern upgrades with the home's timeless character to create a refreshed, high-value property.
Decking and railing upgrade
We restored the original charm of the home by refurbishing the existing terrace railings, while also improving safety and giving the outdoor space a polished finish. We added large bi-fold doors onto the elevated deck to create a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor living areas, bringing in plenty of natural light and opening the home to views of the garden.
We also added stairs down to the lush lawn and a new ground-level deck, creating more options for entertaining and relaxing. With a generous, sheltered area, comfortable seating and shade, the new outdoor spaces are ideal for enjoying meals, relaxing or hosting family and friends throughout the year.
The new kitchen is all about convenience and style
Upstairs, we renovated three spacious bedrooms, a bathroom and a stand-alone laundry. Downstairs, the space includes an open-plan kitchen and living area, a generous fourth bedroom with an ensuite, an office and a guest toilet.
The new kitchen features loads of storage, hardwood floors and a sweeping engineered-stone bench. We created great indoor-outdoor flow with a bifold servery window in the kitchen and bifold doors in the living area which lead to the covered back deck, perfect for entertaining.

We were thrilled with the result. The house felt modern, functional and inviting, yet still retained its original charm. When it went to auction, it attracted strong interest and sold well above CV, showing just how much the renovation had enhanced the home’s appeal and value.
